Xasteria Plus - Astro Weather is a comprehensive weather app designed for those with an interest in the night sky. It combines the Apple Weather and MET Norway weather sources, along with additional tools and features to provide users with quick access to all the weather forecasts they might need.
With Xasteria Plus, users can enjoy configurable hourly world forecasts from both Apple Weather and MET Norway. The app also offers a night-vision mode with a choice of red, green, or blue filters, making it easy to view weather information without disturbing your night vision. The Lunar Calendar feature provides Sun and Moon graphs, as well as rise, set, and twilight times.
The app includes a Location Manager that allows users to choose from various location sources, including online search, offline database, and maps. It also provides access to GPS accuracy, elevation, and barometer data for iPhones and iPads with a barometer sensor. Xasteria Plus supports landscape display mode on iPhone and iPod devices.
In addition to the ASTRO/7Timer service's customizable world forecast, Xasteria Plus integrates forecasts from Apple Weather and MET Norway, adding visibility, dew point, and more. The app offers three visualization modes for data display: an icon/graphic display based on ASTRO, color-stripe graphics similar to other astro-forecast services, and a raw text mode.
Xasteria Plus also provides quick access to selected astro-weather web sources such as Clear Outside, Meteoblue, Windy, Astrospheric, and Sat24.com. Users can also access light pollution reports and maps for their location, as well as information on ISS and bright satellite passes.
